Activities:  Video and notes; Class discussion; Students to then read p. 33 in online textbook “Are Americans Good Savers?” They are to then draw a graphic organizer identifying the cause and effect as it relates to Americans’ savings habits.  They are to also answer the following questions:  1. Explain what is wrong in this cause/effect relationship in Americans’ money saving behavior.  2. What should be the cause of one’s money saving habits?  3. How is it that Americans are able to save  a larger percentage of their income when the economy is weak, unemployment is high, and incomes are generally lower?
